And for the record, I do believe that prayer changes things.
I am not traditionally a blogger. In fact, I miss the intimacy of plain, old talking. But Africa is really far away. And I hoped to reach out to the group from Apostles arriving at Morning Star tomorrow.

"So they will be called oaks of righteousness. A planting of the Lord, for the display of His splendor." (Is. 61:3)

I wish the Bible capitalized attributes of God as does with His names. It would remind me that all the goodness to which I aspire actually belongs to Him. I might love righteousness, but it is not mine. It is His. And so is splendor - whatever form it may take. You, me, tornadoes, lillies. All these things, in their finest forms, are His. And for His glory.

My prayer is that He might strengthen us in Him, in order that we might bring Him glory merely by our essence. It is not what we do, it is who we are. And it is not to us, but to His name that we give Glory.

"But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as rubbish for the sake of Christ. More than that, I count all things to be rubbish in view of the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus..." (Phil. 3:7)
